“Equal Light RED CARD Campaign: end all form of Violence and Discrimination Against Women & Girls.

Advocates, civil society, philanthropists and business leaders attended the RED CARD Global Campaign Launch at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The event was organized by Africa Diaspora Renaissance Network (ADRN) in partnership with various UN entities, UN Women, and UN specialized agencies and governments. the international community, the civil society, the private sector, the academia and also well the world of sports and culture actors.

The CEO of GABRIEL'S Global Consulting Angle Ventugol Onyie was attending this event, advocating to stop Violence Against Women and Girls. She is a fierce advocate of Human Rights and women empowerment; she is the founder and President of with ONG SOLI'CITES, an international Humanitarian non profit, that she founded in 2011 in France. She served as spokesperson for various organizations and she is the Chair since 2018 of "The Abolition of Modern Slavery" an awareness initiative " launched in 2001 by Lott Carey Foundation in partnership with Convent Avenue Baptist Church in Harlem and expanded in New York State at large.




Why RED CARD?


In the game of football, a red card signifies a serious infraction of the rules. In this context, the ARDN Red Card Campaign seeks to obtain agreement from a minimum of one million individuals worldwide to sign on to a social media pledge do as much as they can to end discrimination and violence against women and girls. The target date for reaching this goal is the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.


The global launch brings together stars Sports stars, artists, and leaders, governments, international organizations, civil society, the private sector, and other stakeholders. The campaign was aired on television globally. (Source ADRN).
